In this technically and scientifically advanced era, more people are aware of the injurious effects of smoke to their lungs. May be it is of any kind of smoke. So many have adopted alternative ways such as dabbing and vaping to enjoy there herbs. Dabbing, the method of inhaling vapor that is produced by heating up concentrates is a stress free process with the choices of dab rigs available on market. Dab rigs are available in huge varieties. They are of the size of beakers and straight tubes to that of half the size it or smaller. And one of its essential part, the part which we use to heat up the concentrate, the dab nails, also comes in different styles and shapes.
Different varieties of dab nail are on market, each one offering a slightly distinct experience from the other. Some dab nails fit inside of glass joints and need a dome to be used. While others go over glass joints and do not require a dome. Many nails require torch to heat up you concentrate, while the relatively new among nails, the electronic nails or in short e-nails eliminates the need of lighters. Let’s go through the different shapes and styles of nails which are commonly available on market.
Different styles of dab nails:
- Classic dab nails: Also known as direct inject nail, these are the humblest in design. You will find a column that runs through the middle for the length of the entire nail. The column supports a bowl at the top. This is the place for concentrates to sit in. As you dab the vapor moves from the base of the bowl to the top of the nail column and down into the base of the rig. This design does not need a dome.
- Banger dab nails: This style too does not require a dome. It is designed such that it curves away from the rig to facilitate easier dabbing access. This design is rapidly getting popularity due to it extension away from mouthpiece. Many banger nails feature larger heads with flat tops and keep the nail away from rig. This protects rig from heat related breakages.
- Honey Hole dab nails: They comes with a slanted top that provides a larger dabbing surface. They are similar to classic nails but are jointed. You should be careful to buy one that matches your joints.
- Castle dab nails: Also known as daisy nails, this nail design looks like a dome with a divot. The bowl on top where you place the dab has slits along the rim that passes the vapor into the base of the rig. This design does not work well with a carb cap, but they also do not necessitate a dome either.
- Standard dab nails: Known as most affordable choice in nails, these have a cupped end where you will place your concentrate. They do require a dome to hold the vapor and direct it down into the base of the rig.
- Electronic dab nails: E-nails are relatively new vape accessories that offer a consistent temperature to vaporize your concentrates. An e-nail is a small desktop unit. It contains a metal coil that is heated with electricity. They are very easy to use, you have to just place the coil around the nail and set the desired temperature on the unit. They eliminate the use of torch but are comparatively costlier options.
