Vape batteries are highly powerful cells with 18650s, 20700s, etc., and need to be handled with care.
Use right Battery and right Chargers
Very first thing is to select right battery. Some batteries are better for low wattage vaping, others are better for sub-ohming, and others are not supposed to be used for vaping at all. So always choose the battery that matches with the specs of your vape mod. As well as always buy batteries from reputable vendors, as those will go out of their way to make sure their batteries are originals. Similarly, you should buy right battery charger for your Mod also. Because, faulty chargers may overcharge or undercharge your batteries which will make them more susceptible to venting.
Battery Case
It’s crucial to always carry your extra batteries in a case and not to leave them loose in your bag or pockets. A naked battery exposes its bare terminals to any good conductor close to it. So if it comes in contact with any metal object in your pocket and it may lead to explosion of your battery. So if your mod battery is running low, always ensure that the extra battery is enclosed in its own casing.
Battery Wraps
Always keep wraps intact. Rewrap your battery if you find a nick on your battery wrap. Battery wraps are cheap and very easy to put on. If you don’t have wraps, visit our KC Smokz vape shop. Most shops will wrap your batteries for free and it won’t take more than a couple of minutes to do.
Don’t overwork your Batteries
Continuous use of vape mod causes the battery to get hot. The heating of the batteries during use eventually leads to venting. So stop using when the device gets hot.
Don’t leave your batteries charging unattended
Always keep an eye on your batteries at charging time also. Even when using a charger, having your batteries charging unattended is never a good idea, especially overnight.
Replacement
Batteries are only good for full charge to full discharge. Lithium-ion batteries will start losing capacity and strength when used extensively for longer periods of time. If your battery get discharged in short-time or if you see any other inefficiency in your battery just replace it. So replace old batteries at the right time.
Recycling
While you replace your batteries, recycle them instead of throwing away. Recycling of old batteries is also good for environment.
