There are many reasons why someone might want to be able to vaporize waxes and oils out of a bong. All you need for dabbing is a water pipe, nail, carb cap, and torch. Torch the nail before adding your concentrates then add your wax or oil to the top of it. Most of the dab tools are meant to be used with concentrates and their pipes. So don’t worry about using them on a bong. If you really want to get into dabbing and simply don’t want to buy another water pipe, it is possible to experience it with your bong. If you made your mind for that the first thing to do is super-clean your bong and then after that only use it as a dab rig. Dabs are about flavor. So, if you got cloudy bong water or herb all around your bong’s base, you are doing it wrong. Never dab out of a piece that is in use for herbs without cleaning it properly.

Post cleaning your bong; find what size hole you use on your bong. This is called the ground joint, and it’s either going to be a male or female fitting. Measure your ground joint. Once you confirm the joint size, you are ready to shop for a suitable nail that fits snug. An electric nail is the perfect fit for novice dabbers. An e-nail does not need a torch. Instead an e-nail is connected to a power station which is plugged directly into a wall outlet. You can control the heat and never have to worry if your nail is hot enough as it will keep the set heat.

So, in all, if you have plans for dabbing out of your bong, The main thing you need to do is buy good quality nail or banger to replace the bowl. And there you go with your dabbing! But it is always best to buy a separate rig so you can keep your herb and concentrate pipes apart.
